Our trip up to the North Coast of NSW!

Northern NSW, one of our favourite places here at Esperance & Co. Beautiful scenic drives, stunning views and quaint and picturesque towns, we always love coming here and experiencing what this gorgeous part of the world has to offer.

We've put together our itinerary for our trip, our Esperance & Co stockists we visited, where we ate and drank, and of course, the beautiful coastal walks and time spent in nature we managed to squeeze in along the way.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the regions we travelled through. Esperance & Co wishes to pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and that respect extends to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.

1. First stop, Byron Bay. One of Australia's most iconic towns, known for its eclectic vibe, stunning beaches and wonderful dining experiences.

We caught up with Kerrie at Her Shed store, one of our lovely Esperance & Co stockists and popped into Bay Grocer for a coffee and a stickybeak at their wonderful grocery store and cafe - highly recommend the house-made granola!

A trip to Byron wouldn't be complete without doing the famous lighthouse walk. The most amazing view stretching beyond the horizon, a time to pause and reflect on how lucky we are in Australia to be surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty. We worked up a bit of a sweat on the walk, so a quick dip at Wategos beach was the refreshing ocean fix we needed.

Another highlight for us was The Bolt Hole, a cocktail, whisky and gin bar and a hidden gem in Byron Bay. We recommend this gorgeous bar for a sophisticated finish to your night out!

2. Next, Bangalow, a quaint and historic town, just 20 minutes away from Byron Bay.

A stroll along the high street in Bangalow is a culinary treat, with plenty of wonderful cafes and restaurants, as well as lovely boutique shopping. We had the pleasure of visiting another Esperance & Co stockist, Heart of the Home. Fleur and Alex have everything in their shop, and we mean everything! From homewares, to clothing, to our cashmere toppers - if you're in the area, be sure not to miss this wonderful shop!

3. Our third stop, Yamba, described as Byron without the bling! Busy and vibrant, Yamba is known for its exquisite beaches, which we had the pleasure of enjoying during our time there.

We visited one of our newest Esperance & Co stockists, Shack Yamba, a beautiful contemporary clothing store. It was fabulous to meet you, Alicia!

A delightful morning tea was had at Yum Yum Angourie Cafe & General Store. Unbelievable homemade cakes and old fashioned roses from their garden, so stunning!

4. Moving on... to Nambucca Heads

Always lovely catching up with our Facebook famous customer Kay at In Touch Boutique - make sure you check our her awesome videos on Facebook! Kay is celebrating 30 years of In Touch - congratulations Kay!

5. Port Macquarie, where we discovered one of the most stunning coastal walks we've ever done!

The walk from Town Beach to Nobbys Beach is a must do if you're in the area, boasting absolutely exquisite views of the coastline.

We met with Diane at Emerald & Me, another beautiful stockist of ours!

6. Our final stop, Warners Bay!

We visited the iconic store of Nutmeg, a destination boutique that is just gorgeous... it was lovely to catch up with Julie!

A late lunch at Hippo Espresso at Warners Bay, the best tofu wraps we have EVER had overlooking the gorgeous Lake Macquarie.

We had to finish our trip on a (sugar) high... and a Kiwi icecream store with Helen's childhood favourite flavour of Goody Goody Gum Drops did the trick!

Until next time, Northern NSW!
